Recognition on the BRW Fast 100 list is highly coveted, with Butterfly extremely excited to have made the list for the second time in five years. The list is compiled annually of Australia’s 100 fastest growing businesses, with Butterfly first ranking in 2012.
This achievement wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated clients and talented team of Butterflies.
Butterfly’s clients are a special bunch, empowering the business with their trust, allowing Butterfly to explore revolutionary methods to solve their business challenges in innovative ways. Those who have been around since the first ranking in 2012 have been part of the growth journey that Butterfly has experienced.
The ever-growing Butterfly team strive to stay at the front of the ever-changing digital space, always progressing their skills sets and bringing fresh ideas to the company. The team culture stands as a testament for Butterfly’s vision, to be “having fun while doing fantastic work for amazing clients”.
- Liz McLean, Butterfly CEO, says:
"This year was a big leap forward for Butterfly, moving to using Scrum for all our development projects, taking on a lot more staff and acquiring not one but two companies. It's a huge credit to our team that they've been able to not just adapt but thrive with the changes and fast paced growth. Thanks to all the clients who have been with us through the journey as we consistently work towards more awesome, more efficient and more fun digital projects."
- John Anderton, Butterfly Founder and Director, says:
"This achievement is a reflection of the team’s hard work that is invested every single day, working to support our clients and the expanding web industry. The digital space has changed significantly from Butterfly’s first BRW Fast 100 ranking in 2012, and the expertise of our in-house team has developed with it. With a diverse workforce of 35 strong, and a culture which encourages growth, innovation and fun, I’m looking forward to seeing the achievements the Butterfly team attains in the years to come."

- Have a turnover greater than $500,000 for the financial year 2012-2013
- Revenue for 2015-2016 must be more than in 2014-2015
- Be Australian-owned, not a subsidiary of a multinational
